READY FOR READING PROGRAM seeks to support children early in their literacy journey in achieving key literacy milestones by providing increased access to books, creating engaging reading experiences, and providing incentives later to continue reading at a high level. Ready for Reading supports children through a variety of initiatives such as: - Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (newborn until the age of 5), - Kiwanis Read Around the World (Pre-K 3 & 4 students), - Reading Incentive Program (Elementary Schools), - Summer Library Reading partnership with the St. Bernard Parish Library (formally called Read to Ride) - Little Free Libraries (also known as Little Community Libraries) around the Parish, And more!
